In the year 2011, Darren Barefoot lived Canadian.

For 12 months he bought only Canadian products, ate Canadian food and consumed Canadian media.

He documented his progress through this website, which has been revived as Canadians buy local to support one another in the face of US tariffs. What seemed quirky 14 years ago is now a patriotic act. Learn more →
